found that this guitar really captures the Les Paul sound found in an Epiphone, etc. that most other guitars at this price would not have.  To
be honest, it has a better tone than a stock Gibson, so I have to say you can't go wrong with one of you guitars!

"I received my guitar on Friday (9/14/01), set it up, and was simply amazed. It's really a spectacular instrument. I've had a couple of friends note that it actually captures the authentic Les Paul sound that so many replicas lack. The materials and craftsmanship are better than I had anticipated. I had almost purchased an Epiphone Les Paul Special II instead, because I figured I'd be better of with a low-end Gibson than a copy of a high-end Gibson. I'm so glad I didn't. A friend of mine with a LP Special was instantly jealous, repeatedly remarking that I now had "the better guitar." Playing each guitar through my Marshall 30W amp, there's no doubt that this Essex is head and shoulders above the similarly priced Epiphone. And it just feels and looks better. "Hi Kurt, I got the SX this afternoon, took it home, adjusted pickup height, tuned it and plugged it in and.......WOW! For a $160 guitar, it sounds really good. I'm not the type to nitpick about finish blemishes (none of which I could find anyway) or tuner & knob quality. I bought the guitar thinking I'd change the pickups, but I honestly don't see any reason to. I mostly play thru a Korg AX1000G effects processor and a Marshall Valvestate 100 watt combo, so the effects help out anyway. I'm happy with the finish of the guitar. Woodgrain is slightly visible, but not as much as on a flametop. Since I wanted the flat look anyway, I'm happy with it. Thanks for the quick shipment. I hate waiting. Thanks again. Joe" 10-4-2001

Items shipped via "ground" ship with UPS or Fed Ex.  Orders are processed and shipped out within 2-3 business days. Express shipping is not available via ebay.  When you will receive your order will depend on your location and when your paypal payment clears.  Please allow extra time during holiday periods or during bad weather.  Tracking will be emailed to the email address on your PAYPAL account.  Please be sure it is current.   Likewise we ship to the shipping address as indicated as "ship to"  in your paypal account only (paypal rules).  Hotmail, gmail and yahoo email accounts often have these tracking emails blocked by your provider, so please whitelist emails from rondousic.com to receive all communications.
