I bought this guitar from Master Luthier Denny Zager in 2005, hoping to fulfill my many year ambition of learning to play. Shortly after the purchase, I damaged some fingers and had to give up the dream. So...this guitar is as new, no scratches, chips or dings that I can see, and has been stored in it's padded gig bag in a non-smoking year round air conditioned environment. Denny doesn't sell this particular guitar anymore, but I believe the guitar he replaced it with (his own brand), sells for $495 with a hard case.
I'll include four sets of strings (Martin,Darco and Elixir light and extra light), a Fender electronic tuner, a few picks and a Shubb C-1 Capo, and the previously mentioned padded gig bag. Everything you need to start pickin! I'll ship it in it's original box, in the gig bag, wrapped in bubble wrap with the strings loose. If you are so inclined, you can purchase online lessons from Denny for as little as $8. per month. Google Denny Zager or check him out here on Ebay.

What Denny does to the guitar to make it easier to play:
"EZ-Play" Guitars are modified by Master Guitar Luthier Denny Zager to play easier than any other guitar made. The EZ-Play modification process involves:
· Lowering the strings closer to the fret board so you no longer have to press hard to form a chord.
· Adjusting the string spacing so there is more room for your fingers which enhances speed and reduces buzzes & rattles.
· Modifying the bracing, bridge, and saddle in harmony to amplify the tone and resonance.
The result is a guitar that is 50% easier to play with a sound that compares to guitars costing 5 times the price.
What makes Zager guitars outperform all others? It's the pain staking work that's still performed one guitar at a time by the owner of the company. Here's a partial list of the work that Mr. Zager performs personally on each guitar.
- Denny hand selects each guitar personally looking for wood irregularities and finish variations that could damage the integrity of the guitar and lead to problems in the future.
- The nut is sculpted and filed by hand to ensure low string heights closest to the head with custom side to side string spacing
- The saddle is sculpted and filed by hand to ensure lower string heights and custom spacing on the lower portion of the neck.
- Frets are filed by hand to reduce "String Bite" and overall finger fatigue. This also eliminates buzzes and rattles.
- Braces are hand scalloped for more flexibility in the face which leads to better sound projection for deeper bass and punchy highs.
- Nut and saddle heights are coordinated together to conform to new string pressures used for different string gauges and tunings.
- All three areas of the neck are orchestrated together to guarantee consistent string heights and even side to side string spacing.
- Intonation is set to bring the guitar harmonically in balance with itself which makes each note resonate with clarity and makes your guitar sound more powerful. This also makes for easier tuning.
- Each instrument is readjusted after several weeks to account for settling due to wood variations.
- Each instrument is thoroughly cleaned, hand waxed, and buffed.
- Every guitar undergoes a final tune and inspection by Mr. Zager again before being boxed and shipped to you at which point Denny puts his signature on the back.
