This is a 2005 Fender Standard Stratocaster. When I recieved it a week ago it still had the plasic film on the pickgaurd and the trem cover. It had been sitting in a guys closet for 5 years and was unplayed. I replaced the pickgaurd with a new Fender one I had because the plastic film left on it had yellowed it. I left the yellowed trem cover as is. The guitar itself is in absolutely new condition. I cannot find a ding or scratch anywhere. The neck is beginning to take on that beautiful yellow tint that only time produces; the body is a dense peice-it weghs 9 oz more than my 2008. I set the guitar up with new strings, adjusted relief to .012", and adjusted the action for 4/64" (Fender's recomended setup) at the 17th fret and it plays perfectly. You may know that Mexi strats can be a hit or miss affair, here is your chance to own a great one. If you use buy it now I will include a generic hardshell case. God Bless.
