This is an auction for a Pre lawsuit copy of a
Gibson les Paul created by Ibanez in the early 70’s/the latter 60’s (I’m not positive
of the exact date). This auction includes the guitar itself and nothing else. Strings,
and the guitar stand (in the picture below), are NOT Included!
This guitar is a beautiful sunburst guitar made
by Ibanez to look and function like a Gibson les Paul. It does not have a
serial number because it was one of the earlier les Paul’s made by Ibanez. Also,
the bottom pickups seem to be a custom Dan Armstrong pickup that might even
date back to the 70’s as well. Everything on/in this guitar is original from
when I received it except for the rhythm treble plastic piece and a bolt that I
salvaged from another newer guitar. Also, I have tested this guitar to see if
the electronics, switches and tuning knobs work and everything seems to be 100%
functional.
Aside from all the positives, this guitar is
missing some much-needed parts and is slightly damaged. Needed parts include
the nut, the 2 piece Gibson style bridge, and 1 volume knob. Notable damage
includes 2 random holes that seem drilled into the body (see pictures below),
and part of the edge of the fret board, near the neck, that was ripped off.
Overall wear is light but there are markings and wear in the finish at places.
