1973 Gibson SG, Lefthanded, Cherry, with a 90's hard case in very good condition. No previous repairs or cracks on the headstock or neck. The tuning machines were changed to Guild tuning machines that are more massive. The frets show signs of use but plenty of life left in them. The neck is firm and straight with no funny bussines here other than the lacquer bubbling a little with use over time; please look at the picture. Both pick ups are Gibson; the neck P/U is a 70's original to the guitar and the bridge one is a 60's sticker PAF both working perfect. The electronics of the guitar are original as far as I know including the pots. The guitar had a Bigsby bridge origibally but it was replaced with the Harmonica looking one before I was the owner. The guitar comes with a 1990's hard case. I never had the original one. I bought this guitar several years ago in Guitarville, Seattle, Washington. The owner before me traded it in for a PRS and he had been the one that made the changes. Originally I had the intention of finding the original parts and making the guitar original again but frankly as the years went by I came to the conclusion that it wasn't necessary to me. The guitar plays and sounds excellent I just don't play as much as I use to. I imagine that the winner will probably want to set up the guitar to his/her liking as I like it a little high so I can really grab the strings with bends. The winner pays for the shipping charges; $50.00 but please understand that it'll really depend on where the guitar is going. The box is 21"X7"X49" and 25 pounds. I'm in New Jersey and rest assure that I won't come up with anything absurd when it comes to shipping. I'm not a store or a proffesional collector. I'll let you know exactly how much is the shipping at the end of the auction and or if you want to ship the guitar UPS or USPS. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
