Left Handed Guitars

Up for bid is my extremely rare 8 years old Left Handed Martin 000-40 SPR "Midnight Moonlight" Acoustic Guitar.  Number 57 of only 87 produced!  One of only two Lefty's built!

This is a gorgeous, collectible guitar in excellent condition.  Absolutely spectacular headstock and rosette inlays.  Has the phases of the moon for fret-markers on the ebony fingerboard.  The finish, appointments and details are exceptional as expected of a Martin Limited Edition.

Has that special tone that can only come from a relatively small number of select Martin 000's due to the top quality sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides.   The action is set up for Elixir light or light medium strings and plays easy. 

Was special ordered from Martin through Southpaw Guitars in Houston and received it in 2002.  

It has lived in a smoke-free, humidity controlled environment and has had excellent care.  The neck is straight and the top is flat.  There are no cracks.  Just some patina on the pickguard and other minor signs of normal use and a very small ding or two invisible from a couple of feet away.  

Serial Number is 852454. Comes with the original Martin case in good shape and the nameplate is blank and awaiting your name.

MSRP was over $4,000.  Cost $3,550 at Southpaw Guitars.

The guitar will be carefully packed in it's original case and then inside an oversized, reinforced shipping carton.  Shipping is free for you.  I am expecting to pay around $100 for packing and shipping. This is based on my experience in successfully shipping several guitars as part of my music hobby.  

I'll refund $100 off the winning bid amount if you pick up the guitar locally in Austin Texas.

LIMITED WARRANTY:  You have 48 hours -- from the time UPS delivers the guitar -- to inspect and play it.  If not satisfied for any reason please contact me.  We will make arrangements and initiate shipment back to me.  No deal after 48 hours.  You must repack it and ship it at your expense (will be $100 dollars or so) UPS Ground fully insured and packed in a like manner as shipped.  After I receive the guitar I will initiate a PayPal refund -- if and only if --  the guitar is in the same condition as when I shipped it.  My decision.  So, PLEASE be sure you want this guitar before bidding!

I've bought and sold six guitars in recent years using Ebay.  All have been positive transactions for both partys.  No shipping damage (knock on wood).  I'm looking forward to the same with this transaction.   :-)
